The society we live in wavers between beautiful and horrible. Short of becoming a hermit we are stuck with muddling our way through the tough parts. Having a system we can rely on - not to let us run away from our anger and grief, rather to know that we are doing the best that we can under difficult circumstances - is an important way to know that we are always doing our own small part to help others.
